Ramadan, We’ve Been Waiting for You …

Alhamdulillah, the long-awaited month is almost here—the blessed month of Ramadan, filled with mercy and forgiveness. A bright Friday morning accompanied our parade to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. The sholeh and sholehah children enthusiastically came to school carrying posters they had creatively made at home together with their fathers and mothers. The colorful posters enlivened the joyful atmosphere of the parade.

The activity began with the morning pledge, followed by a welcome speech from Mrs. Nani as the Principal. After that, the children walked around the school area, accompanied by the sound of drum beats and takbir. Alhamdulillah, the children also had the opportunity to greet representatives of the management, represented by Mr. Arif Setiadi, SE, S.Kom, as well as the staff of Yayasan Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai, whose building is located next to the school.

In addition to walking around while carrying their posters, the children also enjoyed a ride on a tourist mini train (odong-odong) around the neighborhood, reaching the area of SDI Al Azhar 6. Even though they had to wait in line to take turns, the experience was still fun and exciting. After the parade, the children rested in their classrooms while enjoying special treats to welcome Ramadan, lovingly prepared by the parents.
